Good location
Location was good, very close to the train station and easily accessible to go to different places by bus. There is a dedicated lift to the hotel, then once checked in, you are a in a different section from the hotel. Very close to the popular ice cream shop.
Wished they provided a towel, given it is part of a business hotel, it would have been nice. The bed was a bit hard and it was a bit dusty. First night had a lady going around waking people up and talking to everyone in the morning. But not the fault of the premise.

Good
Good location, nice decorations, very large room and an extensive breakfast buffet for a very low price.
It was not overly clean; especially the bathroom could do a with a good scrub. The elevators up to the hotel were also in a very dirty state. Though it is supposed to be smoke free, some other guests were clearly smoking in the rooms - there were burn marks on a table in our room and the central hallway and our bathroom strongly smelled of cigarette smoke in the night . It is a bit concerning this apparently did not set off the smoke alarm.

Wonderful
it is right at the center of the old city of Taichung, very accessible to the train station, it was just across Miyahara (the Taichung iconic pasty shop); very near cheap street food area; nice looking lobby; the bed was comfortable and linens were surprisingly clean! An absolute value for your money.
the check-in time was too late at 4:30 PM; no bidet at the toilets; the sofas at the lobby needs cleaning or re-upholstering (it's old, chipping and don't feel clean)
